“I worked with Jill Boswell from my Atlanta office with an Alys Beach project. We redesigned a kitchen, all the bathrooms, and an office area. It was such an easy process. She captured my vision and execution was outstanding! She is detail oriented and an excellent problem solver. She has certainly earned my business for my next project. I highly recommend!“

Our Process
At Jill Boswell Design, we leave nothing to chance. We never cut corners and will ensure a smooth process from start to finish. Here’s what you can expect:
Vision Phase (Vision, Consultation & Initial Design)
- Initial Meeting: We’ll connect, either on site or at our offices, and determine your project vision,
scope, budget & timelines. We will review rough drawings/blueprints, if available, discuss design
ideas, door styles/finishes, consider space planning, take measurements & photos, and gather
any other pertinent information. - Preliminary Design: Using what we have learned, we will compose a first pass design for your space – usually ready in 5-10 business days.
- Preliminary Proposal Review Meeting: We will review our preliminary design with you, showing you 3D color CAD room layouts and a pricing estimate based on the design. These initial two meetings and preliminary design are complimentary, and at no cost or obligation to you.
Design Phase (Your Project Takes Shape)
- Design Deposit: If you are happy with the design and price estimate and would like to move
forward, we will request a 10% Design Deposit based on the preliminary design/price estimate.
While it is non-refundable, it will be applied to the project’s final invoice. - Design Refinement: After receiving your deposit and supplying you with a full set of drawings, we can begin tweaking the design (finishes, styles, alternate ideas, features, etc.). This can often involve several phone calls, meetings, emails etc. – as much as it takes, until we arrive at the perfect design of your dreams. This is when you can really begin to see your space coming alive!!
- Design Finalization: Once the design is finalized, and measurements verified, the next step is to complete contract documents. At this time, all the final decisions on cabinetry finish, door style, and appliances, are needed to move forward. We will discuss any last minute details for the design, the project timeline, and answer questions specific to your situation.
- Ordering: Once the contract is signed, and your 50% Manufacturing Deposit is received, we will place the cabinet order, which typically arrives 8-12 wks later.
Installation Phase (Your New Space comes to Life)
- Delivery: We will coordinate the shipping of cabinets to your site. The remaining balance of the
contract is due prior to delivery. During the delivery, we will be on site to ensure all goes
smoothly, and to address any issues immediately. - Installation: During the installation process, we will visit on site and coordinate with our installation staff – monitoring activity to ensure everything is proceeding smoothly and accurately.
- Walkthrough: Once your installation is complete, we will conduct a final walkthrough of the space to ensure everything has been installed according to your design plan, and if any adjustments/changes need to be made, we guarantee it will be promptly resolved to your satisfaction.
- Follow-up: We have solid relationships with the cabinet manufacturers we represent. If any future issues arise, we should be your first call.
